The initial brief was to create a short animation to raise awareness of dark patterns. These are tricks used by websites and apps to make you do things you didn't mean to, such as buying or signing up for something.

We ended up with the following concept: recreating an online pattern in reality. We built a supermarket with a relatively standard payment process, and then added a number of items that the user did not intend to purchase.
